Summary

Manager, Contract Manufacturing will have responsibility for the oversight of manufacturing operations for the liposomal based ALIS product at Insmed’s CMO including process manufacturing and ensuring the continued refinement and enhancements of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • On-site responsibility for the oversight of manufacturing operations at Insmed’s CMO. This includes real-time oversight of CMOs execution of commercial batch manufacturing, including, but not limited to: engineering/technical support, technical review of quality documentation, management of schedule/raw material consumption/budgets, evaluation and support of investigations and change controls, and management of any process improvement related projects.  
  • 7+ years experience managing pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (preferably of products marketed in the US and EU)
  • 3+ years experience leading teams tasked with implementation of pharmaceutical manufacturing technology improvements within a regulated environment
  • Experience with commercial CMO operations
  • Experience in the design and operation of pharmaceutical aseptic processing equipment, facilities, and supporting utilities
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, validation principles, engineering design, and statistical process control fundamentals.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems using root cause analysis methodology and document investigation and outcomes in a compliant manner.
  • High energy, innovative “can do” attitude is required
  • Ability to work independently, remote from central leadership
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Lives in or willing to relocate to the Swindon, UK area
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent is required. Advanced degree is preferred
