Summary

The Senior Director, HEOR is a leadership role in EMEA responsible for the strategic planning and execution of HEOR evidence development to demonstrate the value of Insmed’s products and support expediting patient access to Insmed’s medicines. The Senior Director, HEOR will work closely with Commercial, Market Access, Country Managers, and Global Medical Affairs teams to support evidence needs for successful HTA appraisals for Insmed’s medicines. This role has the responsibility to communicate and council Insmed senior leadership as a subject matter expert on HEOR and evidence needs for HTA processes in EMEA. This role is under Medical Affairs organization reporting directly into VP, HEOR.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, oversight, and execution of HEOR strategies demonstrating the value of Insmed’s product to support expediting patient access to Insmed’s medicines in EMEA.
  • Serve as a member of the EMEA Medical Affairs Leadership Team, provide subject matter expertise on initiatives related to value evidence development, HTA processes, clinical and health economic evidence requirements to support access and reimbursement of Insmed products.
  • Be the strategic partner representing HEOR on medical and commercial cross-functional teams including Integrated Evidence Team (IET), Medical Affairs team, Launch Readiness Team, Market Access-HEOR sub-teams, and Commercial Team to understand evidence needs and provide direction and expertise on HEOR.
  • Support evidence needs for HTA submissions and local adaptations of global HEOR value dossiers and health economic models.
  • Ensure HEOR initiatives are aligned with the EMEA business needs, provide strategic direction for development and submission of annual EMEA HEOR plans for each product and oversee EMEA HEOR functional budget.
  • Ensure high quality for HEOR evidence development and compliant communication materials for payers based on HEOR evidence.
  • Lead strategic communication & dissemination of HEOR evidence to EMEA internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure HEOR communication tools (e.g. value dossiers, interactive economic models, medical/payer presentation decks for internal and external use, publications, and other reactive and proactive evidence content for external stakeholders) are strategic, impactful, and aligned with EMEA cross functional team needs; working in close partnership with other HEOR team members, publication/ scientific communications, Global Medical Strategy and Market Access
  • Direct external research vendors and consultants to deliver results using appropriate scientific methodologies
Position Requirements (Required and/or Preferred Skills, Experience and Education):
  • Advanced degree (such as PhD, MBA or MPH ) in a healthcare, life sciences, health economic field
  • Minimum of 12 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in HEOR and/or market access
  • Demonstrated experience in executing HEOR strategies to support HTA submissions and reimbursement for products within EU
  • Within a Health technology assessment (HTA) organization experience preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical and EU regulatory guidelines on development and approval of communication materials
  • Knowledge of HTA processes and HEOR research including burden of illness studies, patient reported outcomes studies, medical claims and electronic health records database analyses, economic models, and systematic literature reviews, analytic methodologies and modeling, scientific data interpretation and presentation,
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, influence and collaboration skills
  • Uncompromising commitment to quality and compliance 

Travel Requirements

Up to 30% travel, both domestic and/or international.
